Tallinn TV Tower and the World Federation of Great Towers to co-organize series of tower runs in 2015.
The towers featured in the series are located in at least eight countries and on various continents. The Tallinn TV Tower stair run has three years of history and from now on it will be held on the first Sunday in April – which this year falls on 5 April.
In cooperation with MyFitness, we are holding the following training sessions at the TV Tower:
Dates: 6 March, 16 March, 23 March and 30 March, all at 18:00, free of charge for MyFitness members, €5 for everyone else. Tickets can be purchased from the ticket office on premises.
Registration for the TV Tower stage is open for Estonian and English speakers, respectively, at: www.trepijooks.ee
Please note: Registration ends 24 hours before the start! A limited number (25) of starting places will go on sale for €25 (cash only) each on site from 9:30-10:00.
The starting line for the tower run is on the ground floor lobby. Competitors will be given the go at intervals of 30 seconds apart, in the order of first-come first-served. The elite runners will start on the basis of a list, the number of spaces is limited. The exact number of elite starting spots will be determined after the number of international competitors is finalized. The elite group is open to people who have finished in the top 10 in past tower run stages. First time runners who seek inclusion in the elite group have to contact event organizers at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks to the good Estonian performances at the TV Tower run, a number of them are in the top 300 in the 2014 overall standings for the series:
Piotr Lobodzinski(POL) was the men’s winner and Suzy Walsham (AUS) the women’s winner in 2014.
